Degree of Urbanization in Global Regions

To support Dr. Gregory Randolph’s research on urbanization in the Bihar region of India, I visualized the Degree of Urbanization Spatial Model of Urban Density (SMOD) to classify land areas into rural, suburban, and urban categories.

For these maps, I used grouped raster data into the following categories: Low density rural, Rural cluster, Suburban and semi-dense urban cluster, and Dense agglomeration.
